Tucked into a wild, mountainous coastline in south-central Vietnam, Zannier Bai San Ho is not a conventional resort — it is a living village. 73 thatched-roof villas rise from rice paddies and hillsides, framing a private beach that stretches for over a kilometer. Just 60 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City by flight (Tuy Hoa airport), this secluded sanctuary offers barefoot luxury, farm-to-table dining, and immersive cultural experiences that honour the land and its people.

Inspired by traditional northern Vietnamese architecture, each villa is built using local wood, bamboo, and laterite stone. The 73 accommodations are divided into three distinct categories: Hill Pool Villas, Paddy Field Villas, and Beachfront Pool Villas. All feature open-plan living areas, outdoor rain showers, and wide verandas overlooking either the lush rice terraces, the bay, or both. The signature “Grand Bay View Villa” offers a private infinity pool and panoramic ocean views, while the paddy field villas bring you closer to the daily rhythm of water buffalo and farming life.
The central “Hill Pool” – a spectacular 40-metre infinity pool – appears to merge with the horizon, surrounded by daybeds and shaded by palm fronds. The resort’s organic gardens and lotus ponds add to the sense of being in a timeless Vietnamese countryside.

Zannier Bai San Ho offers three distinctive dining venues. “The Main” serves classic Vietnamese dishes with a refined twist: Bún chả cá, fresh spring rolls, and caramelized clay pot fish, all sourced from the resort’s farm and local fishermen. “Beach Restaurant” specialises in grilled seafood and wood-fired pizzas, feet in the sand. “Ba Hai” is an intimate, reservations-only chef’s table experience showcasing Phu Yen’s unique ingredients – lobster, crab, and rare herbs. The resort’s cooking classes take you through the organic vegetable garden, teaching the secrets of traditional Vietnamese broths and fermentation.
This is not a place for conventional luxury: it is a fully immersive escape. The resort’s “Living with the Locals” programme lets guests join farmers in rice transplanting, cast fishing nets with local fishermen, or learn to craft traditional conical hats. The sense of place is extraordinary – wild yet curated, remote yet deeply welcoming. With only 73 keys spread over 98 hectares, privacy is absolute. The Bai San Ho Spa, set amidst a lotus pond, uses ancient Vietnamese massage techniques and homegrown herbs to heal body and mind.

Nestled among coconut groves, the spa features five treatment pavilions, a yoga pavilion, and a herbal steam cave. Signature rituals include the “Dao Red Dao” herbal bath, “Vietnamese hot stone massage” using warmed river stones, and “Rice Polish” exfoliation with organic rice bran. All products are crafted on-site from medicinal plants grown in the resort’s garden. The spa also offers sunrise meditation and private sound healing sessions overlooking the bay.

Phu Yen is known as “the land of yellow flowers on green grass”. The resort’s experiences team can arrange private excursions to the Ganh Da Dia (cliff of stone plates), O Loan Lagoon (oyster farming and flamingo watching), and the Da Bia Mountain for sunrise. Kayak through mangroves, cycle to nearby fishing villages, or embark on a sunset cruise aboard a traditional wooden boat. For families, the “Little Farmers” club offers children hands-on activities like buffalo riding and lantern making.
Since opening in 2017, Zannier Bai San Ho has been celebrated on global stages: Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2024, The World’s 50 Best Hotels (No. 42, 2025), and Travel + Leisure “Top 10 Resort in Southeast Asia”. Its commitment to sustainability and cultural preservation earned the “Beyond Green” Global Award in 2025.
