A Bensley Masterpiece

Bill Bensley drew inspiration from Vietnam’s hill-tribe villages, creating a resort that feels both ancient and utterly modern. The property cascades down a hillside in four tiers – “Heaven,” “Sky,” “Earth,” and “Sea” – each connected by a funicular railway. The architecture features soaring bamboo ceilings, traditional wooden shutters, and hand-painted murals. The interiors are filled with custom furnishings, local textiles, and antiques collected from across Vietnam.

The resort’s 201 rooms and suites are among the most spacious in Vietnam, with floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and marble bathrooms. The “Sun Peninsular Suites” offer separate living areas and plunge pools. The “President Villa” is a two-story, 600-square-meter retreat with a private infinity pool, butler service, and panoramic ocean views.

Culinary Excellence – From La Maison 1888 to Barefoot

The resort is home to several world-class restaurants. “La Maison 1888” is a French fine-dining venue helmed by celebrity chef Pierre Gagnaire. The tasting menu, “Gagnaire’s Vietnam,” is a creative fusion of French technique and Vietnamese ingredients. “Citron” serves Vietnamese cuisine in a spectacular setting – guests can sit in “upside-down conical hat” tables overlooking the bay. “Barefoot” is a beachfront seafood grill, perfect for sunset dinners. “The Long Bar” is a chic cocktail lounge with a 30-meter-long bar.

HARNN Heritage Spa – A Sanctuary of Wellness

The HARNN Heritage Spa is a serene retreat set in a traditional Vietnamese village within the resort. Treatments draw on ancient Asian healing traditions, using local ingredients such as rice, herbs, and essential oils. The signature treatment, “HARNN Journey,” is a 2.5-hour ritual that includes a body scrub, a warm oil massage, and a facial. The spa also features a steam room, sauna, and relaxation area overlooking the jungle.

Exploring Danang & Hoi An

The resort is ideally located for exploring central Vietnam’s treasures. The concierge can arrange private tours to the Marble Mountains, the Ba Na Hills Golden Bridge, the ancient town of Hoi An, the imperial city of Hue, and the My Son Sanctuary. Guests can also take a sunset cruise on the Han River, visit the Cham Museum, or explore the local markets.
