A region of contrasts and harmonies — where modern energy meets timeless tradition
South Vietnam is a land of dynamic energy and serene beauty — where the sprawling Mega City of Saigon pulses with modern vitality, the Mekong Delta flows with timeless rhythms, and the islands of Phu Quoc and Con Dao offer pristine coastal escapes. Following the 2025 administrative merger, Ho Chi Minh City has become a Mega City with over 14 million residents, encompassing the former provinces of Vung Tau and Binh Duong.
For the discerning traveler, South Vietnam offers an unparalleled diversity of experiences — from the colonial elegance and world-class dining of Saigon to the floating markets and stilt villages of the Mekong, and from the luxury resorts of Phu Quoc to the untouched beaches of Con Dao. The region also offers the cool highland retreat of Da Lat and the emerging coastal escape of Ho Tram.
Signature experiences: a private street food tour by motorbike in Saigon, a sunrise cruise through the Mekong Delta’s floating markets, a secluded beach escape on Con Dao, and a highland retreat in the pine forests of Da Lat — all curated to reveal the soul of South Vietnam.

Luxury travelers think in experiences, not geography
South Vietnam has a tropical climate with two distinct seasons
The golden months. From December through April, South Vietnam enjoys warm, sunny weather with low humidity. This is the most popular time to visit, with clear skies and perfect conditions for exploring Saigon, cruising the Mekong Delta, and relaxing on the beaches of Phu Quoc and Con Dao.
The green season. From May to November, South Vietnam experiences frequent rain showers, usually in the afternoon. The landscape becomes lush and vibrant, and the lower prices and fewer crowds make it an attractive time for budget-conscious travelers.
For the best weather and full experience, visit from December to April. If you don’t mind the afternoon showers, the green season offers lush landscapes and the opportunity to experience South Vietnam’s indoor treasures — its museums, temples, and culinary traditions — in a more contemplative setting.
