Indochine Chic is not a faceless travel blog. It is not an algorithm-driven booking engine. It is not a content farm. We are a small team of guides, writers, and hospitality professionals who fell in love with Indochina and never left. Some of us were born here. Some arrived as backpackers and stayed. All of us share a deep passion for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand — and a commitment to helping you experience them the right way.

Starting Out in 1997
Andy began working as a tour guide in Ho Chi Minh City in 1997. Back then, tourism was a fraction of what it is today. Guides did everything: drove, translated, found the best phở stalls, and solved every problem. Over the years, he watched Vietnam transform. But one thing did not change: the lack of reliable, honest information for travelers. Guests constantly told him: “I wish I had known that before I came.” So he decided to do something about it.
Why Indochine Chic?Indochine Chic started as a passion project — a place to share two decades of guiding experience. It grew into a platform where travelers find honest, up‑to‑date, beautifully written guides. We do not accept payment for positive reviews. We never recommend a hotel or cruise we would not book for our own families. Our mission: to help you fall in love with Indochina — without overpaying, without being misled, and without the stress of figuring it out alone.
From One Voice to a TeamWhat began as one guide’s blog has grown into a small team. Today, we have a core team of five full‑time travel specialists supported by trusted contributors across Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. The core philosophy has never changed: travel is a feeling, not a checklist.
